Do dogs sweat through their tongues?
Verdict: Myth
While panting helps dogs cool through evaporation, they do have sweat glands in their paw pads. However, these play a minor role in temperature regulation compared to panting, which allows for rapid air exchange and evaporation from the tongue and respiratory tract.
